  • Proficiency in photography, videography and editing of video and print.

  • Knowledge of public education systems/operations.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work on extended projects without continuous supervision.
  • Knowledge of Google, Microsoft, and other office
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative
  • Ability to work

REPORTS TO:                                               Director of Communications

 

JOB GOAL:                                                   Effectively assist with all communications & marketing operations in the District. Strategically highlight and showcase the hundreds of programs the District offers through creative storytelling. Positively uphold and demonstrate the values, mission, and vision of Putnam City Schools.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify & showcase stories from within the District for internal & external
  • Work directly with the District's schools and departments to highlight and showcase the hundreds of programs offered district-
  • Plan, film, and edit video stories to post on District
  • Manage all District social media, tracking trends and analytics continually to grow, reach and engagement.
  • Identify and assist with implementation of increased video opportunities in District
  • Attend Board of Education Meetings and assist with newsletters and other department
  • Assist in planning and promoting
  • Assist in planning and promoting media
  • Distribute communication materials throughout the
  • Represent the Communications Department while interacting with media, in the community in person, electronically, and on the phone.
  • District spokesperson when Director of Communications is
  • Assist with graphic design for District
  • Assist with creation & maintenance of District events
  • Assist in updating the District web
  • Work with schools to re-design & maintain school and department-specific web
  • Updating District social media and track analytics for District
  • Assist with office communications, including correspondence, miscellaneous phone calls, appointments and drop-in visitors.
  • Assist with preparation of PowerPoint presentations for meetings, board presentations,
  • Assist in preparation related to Convocation and other
  • Perform other tasks as

 

EVALUATION:                                   Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education's policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
