TITLE:

Painter

QUALIFICATIONS:
|
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials and application techniques common to the painting trade.
- Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry 55 lbs.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
- Must perform all aspect of painting requirements the district may require as scheduled by the Paint Lead.
- Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment and other structures.
- Washes, scrapes, sands, torches and/or smoothes interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering or applying other related materials.
- Cleans equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
- Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating material and other hazardous materials.
- Must perform all duties assigned by Paint Lead

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
|
Twelve month basis. Salary to be established by the Board.
|

EVALUATION:
|
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy.
|
