Title: Technician, Level 1
Qualifications:
- Certificate from an accredited technical institute.(Appropriate job experience related to this position may be an acceptable substitute.)
- Problem solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge and experience of networking personal computers is preferred.
- Extensive technical experience with a variety of hardware and software platforms.
- Able to conduct computer upgrades, modifications, and diagnostics to printer, Windows, and Mac OS machines.
- Knowledge and experience in computer assembly and component installation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with good driving record.
Reports To: Director of Technical Services
Performance Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve all hardware related problems resulting from inoperable and malfunctioning computer systems, including keyboards, monitors, printers, CPU’s and other peripheral devises.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software related problems resulting from inoperable and malfunctioning operating systems and applications software.
- Provide telephone, email, and on-site technical assistance to end-users of all computer systems, including instructional computer labs.
- Install and test computer systems.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing laws.
Terms of Employment: Twelve months
Evaluations: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
