Title: Secretary – Enrollment Clerk
Qualifications:
- A reasonable degree of proficiency in typing and keyboarding.
- Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service philosophy and skills.
- Capable of defusing difficult situations with parents.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To: Administrator of the District Enrollment Office
Job Goal: To assure a smooth and efficient enrollment of all students so that the students receive appropriate services and placements for their education.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Reviews, identifies articles of need, guides and processes documentation for student enrollment.
- Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with busy yet productive and efficient office.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, notices and recommendations as required.
- Maintains such student records as shall be required.
- Places, receives and routes all incoming calls.
- Obtains, gathers and organizes pertinent data as needed and puts it into usable form.
- Maintains a regular filing system, as well as a set of locked confidential files, and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
- Maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for parent/patron requests.
- Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
Terms of Employment: Ten, Eleven or Twelve months. Salary and work year to be according to the current schedule.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually
in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy
on Evaluation of noncertified personnel.
