Job Description
Title: Technician, Level 1
Qualifications:
- Certificate from an accredited technical institute. (Appropriate job experience related to this position may be an acceptable substitute.)
- Knowledge and experience of networking personal computers is a plus.
- Technical experience with the following:
Windows/Apple computers, printers.
- Knowledge of computer upgrades and modifications, including Windows, Mac OS, PC diagnostics, Active Directory.
- Problem solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge and experience in computer assembly and component installation.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Must be able to climb extension ladders
- Must be comfortable working at heights of 20 feet
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with good driving record.
Reports To: Director of Technical Services
Performance Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve all hardware related problems resulting from inoperable and malfunctioning computer systems, including keyboards, monitors, printers, CPU’s and other peripheral devices.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software related problems resulting from inoperable and malfunctioning operating systems and applications software.
- Provide telephone and on-site technical assistance to end-users of all computer systems, including instructional computer labs.
- Install and test computer systems.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing laws.
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot communication and A/V cabling
- Assist in the repair of district tablet devices (iPads)
- Other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment: Twelve months.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually
in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy
on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel. |
