TITLE: Transportation Discipline Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred, but not required.
- Four (4) years experience in transportation preferred.
- Obtain / Maintain Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver License with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Obtain / Maintain Oklahoma State Department of Education school bus driver certification.
- Must have basic computer skills
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation
SUPERVISES: Bus Drivers and Monitors
JOB GOAL: Enable each student through safe and efficient transportation to take full advantage of the complete range of curricular and extracurricular activities offered by the district’s schools.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with and enforce school board policy.
- Communicate bus rules, behavior expectations and disciplinary problems to parents.
- Coordinate and communicate with school principals or representatives to administer discipline.
- Conduct conferences with parents as needed to review disciplinary issues.
- Plan, administer and communicate all school bus discipline procedures for all students in the district.
- Conduct street observation of Bus Drivers when necessary.
- Act as the liaison between parents, school, and Transportation for complaints and special request.
- Attend appropriate committee and staff meetings.
- Conduct personnel evaluations as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month basis. Salary established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy.
