QUALIFICATIONS:                 

  • Demonstrate aptitude to successfully fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 55 lbs.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the                        

      Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

REPORTS TO:                     Grounds and Athletics Manager/Assistant Manager

 

JOB GOAL:                          To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient educational environment in which to learn, play and develop.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Keeps the grounds litter free.
  • Performs general labor grounds maintenance tasks as needed to maintain the school property in a safe and attractive manner General labor grounds tasks are those tasks which are not specifically assigned to Groundskeeper personnel. Specifically exempted from responsibility at this level is the operation of the driven, as opposed to walk-behind equipment.
  • Maintains all walk-behind and hand-held grounds care equipment in the standards specified by the manufacturer.
  • Reports damage to school property and necessary repairs promptly to Supervisor.
  • Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of garbage, rubbish, and waste.
  • Complies with departmental standards concerning performance cost-efficiency, safety, maintenance, energy management, and any assigned responsibilities of Buildings and Grounds.
  • Uses and maintains departmental and school equipment and property so as to maximize the effective service life of that equipment and property.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Twelve month, salary will be determined by the Board

 

                 

 

EVALUATION:       Performance of this job will be evaluated monthly during

                                    probation periods and annually thereafter in accordance with the

                                    provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of nonprofessional

                                    personnel.
